La Revolucion

This place is a dump. But the tacos are amazing and only $2 each on Tuesdays.  La Revolucion is a family owned business, with grandchildren on the loose but the atmosphere becomes quite charming after a few classic margaritas. It’s super easy to get to via TTC (Junction bus stops in front of the restaurant at Keele) which was shocking – I don’t frequent The Junction because I don’t even know where the hell it is.

The Cochinita Tacos were so amazing my mouth is watering just writing about them. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to have a baby suckling pig on a spit in any back yard in Toronto so I stole my mother’s crockpot and I’m going to attempt to make this myself. The Chicken Tinga Tacos were packed full of juicy, tangy flavours which I gladly let drip down my arms leaving me wondering daily, is it Tuesday yet?

  1. Hey ! I’m so glad you enjoyed the tacos! We really enjoy your photo, especially the labelling. La Revolucion has had a bit of a makeover, and we feature very talented live performers every weekend! I hope you can make it out again sometime soon:) cheers! – Indira
