We love themed parties so in honour of Jamie’s birthday and his favourite pastime, day drinking; we hosted a drunk brunch on Saturday – 80’s style. Now, what happens at the B-Rock stays at the B-Rock but I can say it was one of the best parties we have ever had and sadly my last as I am moving out in two weeks.
We made this a potluck party as there would be over 10 guests and we are poor. I made my mother’s famous Ranch Style Hash Browns. This is one of those recipes you give out to every person after they try the dish.
Colleen’s Ranch-Style Hash Browns
Note: there is not one single healthy component in this dish.
- 1 package frozen hash browns
- 1 tub of sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (do not substitute)
- Half soup can of milk
- 2 cups shredded old cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion
- Pinch of salt
Thaw hash browns. Mix all ingredients. Place in baking dish adding extra cheese on top. Bake for 1 hour at 400 °F
